Salary Range: $83,000 – $90,000 USD BOE

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing plans, processes, and documentation to ensure high-quality production that meets aerospace industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of AS9100 standards, producibility assessments, and supplier integration, while maintaining compliance with ITAR regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for manufacturing processes.
  • Create and refine manufacturing concepts and strategies to support overall business objectives.
  • Conduct cost analyses and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Develop and integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Review and approve supplier data to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and reduce waste.
  • Capable of 5-axis CNC programming using CAM software and resolving shop floor manufacturing issues.
  • Ability to optimize complex toolpaths and ensure precision machining of aerospace components.
  • Perform producibility assessments for parts and product designs, providing input on manufacturability.
  • Provide producibility recommendations to teams, manufacturing processes, and technologies to achieve cost and schedule goals.
  • Develop integrated work statements and event sequencing to meet delivery commitments.
  • Support alternate shifts as needed to meet production or business requirements.
  • Collaborate across departments and support other programs as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2-5+ years’ experience in engineering and manufacturing, (aerospace preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Or equivalent work experience

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong computer skills: EPICOR ERP experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 standards and aerospace industry requirements.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality control procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Ability to use CAD/CAM software and validation simulation software

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

The employee is required to reach with arms and grip with hand. Employees are also expected to communicate effectively with colleagues. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull or move up to fifty (50) pounds or more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

1. Occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs.

2. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.

3. PPE required and may vary per each function performed, such as Safety glasses, safety shoes (steel or composite toe), ear protection, gloves

4. Occasional exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors and fumes.


ITAR Compliance Requirements

Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsible for safeguarding export-controlled technical data in compliance with ITAR and company procedures.

Completion of ITAR compliance training and strict adherence to export control protocols required.
