Lockheed Martin and Cummins Aerospace’s collaborative team received the 2025 Distinguished Engineering Project Achievement Award from the Engineers’ Council on February 22, 2025. The prestigious award, presented at the 70th Annual Honors & Awards Banquet held in Universal City, California, recognized their innovative “Development of an In-House Landing Gear” system.
The council highlighted that “the successful development of a modular and scalable aircraft landing gear system, designed and analyzed 100% in-house, enables rapid execution of advanced aircraft programs.” This cutting-edge landing gear system demonstrates unparalleled efficiency, adaptability, and robustness, marking a significant advancement in aerospace engineering.
“It was our pleasure and honor to be part of the whole TEAM that successfully produced this landing gear,” noted a team representative. “Both teams made this project a success,” they added, emphasizing the collaboration between Lockheed Martin and Cummins Aerospace.
